I was very hesitant to buy this flat iron because … I was very hesitant to buy this flat iron because I’ve only ever owned a chi and I have very thick and wavy hair but my chi went out and I couldn’t afford to spend $100 on a new one so I took a chance on this flat iron and I’m so impressed. My hair is straight as a board!

AWESOME AND YET INEXPENSIVE – I’m a happy camper 🙂 I was skeptical because of the price of the Remington S9500PP Pearl Pro Ceramic Flat Iron and all the things it said it had that other “high-end” (aka expensive) models/brands have but I felt that, if anything, Amazon would most likely give me a refund if it was just a horrible product. Thank goodness I didn’t have to return it because I was very overwhelmingly and pleasantly surprised at the outcome of my hair after using this iron! I have thin hair and to make matters worse its wavy. it would be beautiful if I had thicker hair but because my hair is so thin my waves wind up looking more like stringy spaghetti by the end of the day which makes me look HORRIBLE all the way around. although straightening my hair has caused it to look even more thin, I’ve found products that pump the roots up after a shower and so all I do is blow dry (on the cool setting), plump those roots up and dry the hair in preparation of ironing and I have to say my hair looks great and have received…

NOT CERAMIC, cheap, static cling, snags hair. plates don’t touch I HAVE ONLY USED THE STRAIGHTENER ONCE! This is the condition straight out of the box.Product is made cheaply. It snags my hair and creates ridiculous static. As you can see from the photos, these plates are NOT ceramic. You can see whatever they covered the plate in is coming off in places. The plates don’t actually come together across the whole plate, only in one spot unless you have a really tight grip on the flat iron. I’ve been using flat irons for 8+ years and this is one of the worst I’ve used. I also own an authentic ceramic flat iron and the difference is immense. I’m only giving it two stars because I like that it beeps when it’s finished heating and I like its aesthetic.
