Best aftershave I have ever used — while this is rather expensive, it works sooo well at reducing irritation & works super fast As this Amazon listing sells both the liquid and the cream Proraso aftershave, I want to note that my review pertains to the cream which is their “sensitive skin” formula.

Sensitive Aftershave Balm I am not the guy with skin so sensitive that if I look at it the wrong way when shaving, I’ll get razor burn. With that said, I do have more sensitive skin. So, the regular Proraso Aftershave Lotion (Green Liquid) was just a little bit too much for me. I stick to the Green Aftershave in the summer, when my skin isn’t out in the cold and dry elements. During the winter, the Proraso Aftershave Balm is fabulous. I actually prefer the Proraso White line of products scent to the green. I do enjoy the menthol clean smell of the green line of Proraso, but this Oatmeal and Green Tea smell is wonderful.

“There is a balm in Gilead, to make the wounded whole” I’ve never been a fan of after-shave “lotions” – after the initial zing, too much lingering aroma, too much alcohol-induced dryness, But this “crema liquida” (liquid cream) from the maker of my favorite shaving lather is superb: moistening (no alcohol), very lightly and pleasantly scented (and it doesn’t linger), soothing, softening, refreshing. A little of it goes very far and the skin absorbs it easily – no need to keep massaging to make it disappear. It shakes out (but doesn’t pour out) quickly. Immediately after shaving and the cold-water rinse, I put a small spurt of it into my palm, rub my hands and spread it all over my face, including forehead). Beautiful product in that wonderful, timeless Proraso packaging, which always reminds me of my favorite barbershop in Rome.
